Senior Designer
Extensive experience with mass market retail and overseas factories required. The position is US based and reports into the President.
- Execute entire design process for a given season within multiple hard goods product categories: Decorative Accessories, Tabletop, Throws etc…), Wall Décor, Stationery, Storage, Pet Products.
- Responsibilities include: Trend Development, Product Design/Rendering, Tech Packs and Customer Presentations
- Work with Product Development Manager to implement line building as it aligns with departmental/customer goals and vision.
- Translate seasonal trend and customer objectives into commercially viable product for mass market at varying price points.
- Deliver effective, cohesive product presentations for both internal and external partners.
- Work with developers to curate, develop and execute product designs with accuracy and innovation.
- Research and develop seasonal trends, themes, concepts, color direction, material, fabrications and styling.
- Have a deep working knowledge of Home Products (and insight into manufacturing processes), with the ability to communicate techniques and manufacturing abilities to Junior Designers.
- Manage constant communication with internal PD partners, domestic and international
- Assist seasonally with showroom development and presentation.

- Develop and implement integrated holistic creative of a high visual and conceptual quality, appropriate to content and intended audience, and contextualized within the framework of the institution’s overall visual identity.
- Adhere to agreed-upon project management plans, meeting all of the needs outlined in creative briefs, including delivery schedules and budgetary considerations.
- Communicate with the project team in all stages of design.
- Create web and print-worthy files that reflect effective and efficient production values.
- Stay current with print and interactive design, production, and technology skills.
- Make presentations to partners, communicating creative vision and process and speaking with clarity and conviction.
- Bring brand positioning as well as design identity to life through strong communication design.
- Provide support to senior design staff and related duties as requested.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a graphic designer. Print and interactive experience is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication design.
- Knowledge of and experience with interactive and print design, with an emphasis on typography.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills, combined with an impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly, and effectively with the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to conduct photo research and edit photos.
- Demonstrated ability to express established brand identity that meets evolving communication goals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the complete Adobe Creative Cloud software suite is essential.
- Experience with photo retouching, print production, illustration, information architecture and user interface design, and motion graphics.

- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure business, marketing, and large publishing needs are met, while remaining nimble and agile to changing requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for art, design, games, music, film, and contemporary culture in general is essential.
- A thorough understanding of current design and fashion trends.
- Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and typography skills.
- Strong track record for developing striking, cohesive visual identities, ideally with experience across (or strong awareness of) a variety of industries and brands.
- Some knowledge and understanding of digital, print, and production processes, including fabrication.
SKILLS
- Ability to consistently deliver dynamic, thoughtful and innovative content.
- Conceptual creative skillset, with an ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
