Social Justice Poster Research

This poster had me somewhat interested in it since it used such a basic color pallet, but executed in a simplistic and creative manner. For instance, where the colors fill in their respectable areas make it simple for people of young age to interpret, as this was shown as part in Ellen Lupton's presentation along with some other children book illustrations to show how. There's one way that I might be able to utilize this in my variation of posters, and that might be with the organization and placement of individual colors as well as the figure where the colors will go in. This poster/book cover is for a book series called Game of Thrones that the artist Albert Exergian made around 2009-2014 that was presented by Ellen Lupton in her presentation on how posters are made and presented. This poster had me get the impression of simple but meaningful message with the black crow that's part of the hierarchy. What I found out when I researched about this book cover is that the cr...

Poster Drafts

So my drafts for my social justice poster are on top, and as you can see, I put alot of time into the first one on top.The reason being is because I wanted to make sure I emphasize the gun problem that is the main problem in school shootings. As for the other four drafts, I decided to use a technique that I've previously used in drawings outside of Graphic Design class, which is to draw people and their stances/movements as stickfigures. In my opinion, I went with this as it would be easier for me to draw and not complicate myself over with details and take forever.

Copper Hewitt Overview

Copper Hewitt Trip Overview        The trip overall that we had was a visually astonishing and intriguing experience. We first went  over around the first floor of the museum while being informed on how symbols and how they have evolved. While discussing about the evolution of symbols, we were first shown how the accessibility symbol has changed since the prior one showed a disabled person on a wheelchair just sitting up with the remastered one changed with the same person with a white and bolder outline that's accompanied with the depicted motion of the person moving the wheelchair at a high speed. Moving on, after the wheelchair exhibit, we were shown how the Olympic sports symbols have been changed by multiple countries over time such as Japan, USA, etc. My impressions on the exhibits were that it was well informed and explained with how every little detail was explained and...

Senior Year Accountability

A way how I plan to stay focused on being academically mature is by taking into account the tasks that I have to complete. For example,by enforcing my grit towards my grades and classes as well as personal issues,I would be able to put any personal issues aside to center my focus towards finishing my homework or any other tasks given by teachers.Another way how I plan to stay focused on being academically mature is by avoiding senioritis. For instance,if I don't discipline myself from partying, video games and being lazy, then I'll be thrown off track and my grades would plummet down to failing and with all my friends being able to graduate and have all the fun trips with me just failing because of my obsession with sub-topic activities as these.A final way on how I plan to stay focused on being academically mature is be setting alarms at home. When I'm at home,I usually forget to do my work to rest for a bit,but if I set myself reminders to do my work as well as o...
